More Than a Gun Rack…

Ridgeback Racks™  locking gun racks are made with pride in the U.S.A. They are made from 1/4 inch thick plate steel. The entire mount is finished with a high quality and durable powder coating to prevent the firearm from being scratched when placed on or removed from the mount. The mount also looks appealing when the firearm is in use and not on display.

Ridgeback Racks™ serve as a visual aide while searching for the perfect location to display your firearm. Rather than climbing up and down a ladder with a valuable firearm, use the gun rack – as it closely resembles the firearm itself.

Mounting a Ridgeback Rack

Ridgeback Racks™ are extremely easy to mount, and each unit comes with specific mounting instructions. You simply need to pick your location, find a stud in the wall, use the mount’s barrel to determine a level position, and secure it to the wall with the supplied screws. The pre-drilled holes are spaced 2 inches apart to accommodate standard home construction.

If a stud isn’t located within the pre-drilled holes, a wall anchor may be used. Once the firearm is placed on the mount, it is secured with a keyed lock through the trigger guard. Once locked into place, the firearm blocks the screw heads, preventing both the firearm and the mount from being removed from the wall.

Ridgeback Racks™ provide a solid and good-looking method of securing a firearm to a vertical surface. While not an absolutely secure device (they cannot provide the security of a gun safe), RIDGEBACK RACKS are meant to be a theft deterrent which will allow you to keep your firearms on display. If a home is broken into, firearms mounted on these locking gun racks would be very difficult to remove without the necessary key. The racks are also a safe way to display firearms if there are children in the home.
